Accident Claims

We have a specialist Personal Injury Department who are able to offer you advice in connection with accident claims of all types.

Provided that the accident was not entirely your fault, then our team may be able to recover on your behalf compensation for your injuries and compensation for any losses you suffer as a result of the injuries sustained.

We would be happy to meet you in your own home, your workplace or even the Hospital if that is more convenient to you.

We would discuss the funding of your claim at that initial meeting without any cost to you.

If you have a potential claim, please complete the online claim form and one of our specialist team will contact you within 24 hours of receipt of that Form (Monday to Friday only). Alternatively, please contact a member of our team on one of the numbers given below.

Accident Types

We have the specialist knowledge to deal with accident claims of all types. These include:

Road Traffic Accidents

You might be a driver or a passenger in a motor vehicle, a motorcyclist or a pedestrian. Anyone that uses the road owes a duty of care to all other road users. Even if you were a passenger, and the accident was your driver’s fault, you can make a claim.

Employer’s Liability

Your employer owes you a duty of care to ensure that you are as safe as possible whilst carrying out your work. Even if the injury was inflicted upon you by one of your work colleagues, your employer may still be liable.

Slips Trips and Falls

Local Authorities have a legal obligation to maintain the highway to a reasonable standard. If they breach their obligations and that breach causes your injuries, you may have a claim. Even if the accident happens in a shop, restaurant, pub or club, the Proprietor of that establishment will owe you a duty of care. Even if you were injured at someone’s home address, they may still be liable.

Criminal Injuries

If you are the victim of an assault, there is a Scheme which is designed to compensate you.

Sports Injuries

There is a required standard of safety in most sports. Most Clubs usually carry Insurance to cover claims.

What Can I Claim?

In addition to claiming compensation for the pain and suffering caused by your injury, other associated financial losses can also be claimed. For example, if your injury means that you are unable to work, we can claim back the earnings that you would have earned had you not been involved in the accident, including loss of overtime, loss of bonus etc.

We can claim back your medical expenses, for example the cost of prescriptions and other over the counter medicines, physiotherapy bills and the like. We may even be able to claim back private treatment costs, in some circumstances.

If you were involved in a road accident, and your motor vehicle was insured on a comprehensive basis, even if the accident wasn’t your fault, your Insurance Company may still charge you an Insurance excess. We will endeavour to recover that excess from your Opponent for you together with any other Uninsured losses, for example car hire charges and/or other travel expenses, compensation for the inconvenience of you being without your vehicle and so on.

What will it cost to make my claim?

It may cost nothing. You may already be Insured, under your Motor Insurance or Household Contents Policy in respect of Legal Expenses.

Let us see your Insurance Policies and we will check to see if you are already Insured in respect of legal costs. If so, then we will almost certainly be able to act for you without charging you.

If you do not have the Legal Expenses mentioned above, we may be able to offer you a Conditional Fee Agreement (sometimes called a “No Win No Fee” Agreement) to fund your case. If we act for you under a Conditional Fee Agreement, we may also be able to arrange for you, a Policy of Legal Expenses Insurance which would ensure that if your claim is unsuccessful, then you do not have to pay the other side’s costs. Please ask for more details.
