Miller Mockford Winkworth Merger

PRESS RELEASE

Chattertons, The Lincolnshire Solicitors, has further enhanced its reputation as the fastest growing legal firm in Lincolnshire by announcing another acquisition less than a month after its merger with Spalding firm, Crusts. The new acquisition is the Lincoln firm of Miller Mockford Winckworth. The merger will take effect from 1 January 2007, reuniting Chattertons with three former partners, Danny Miller, Caroline Mockford and Bill Winckworth who left the firm some 12 years ago to set up their own niche commercial practice in Lincoln where they were joined, in more recent times, by Jane Speed.

Caroline Mockford, who specialises in tax trusts and probate, will join Chattertons as a partner as will litigator, Jane Speed. Bill Winckworth, a well known and respected commercial lawyer, and Danny Miller, who is a popular litigation solicitor in the area, will both join as consultants and will be working four days a week.

Senior Partner, Peter Cropley, comments:-

“We are delighted to have the skills of Danny, Caroline and Bill back on board. Although they left some 12 years ago we have always remained on good terms with them and are confident that, with their return combined with the addition of Jane Speed, our Lincoln office will be able to provide an even more effective service to the business community in the area”.

The merged practices will operate from Chattertons’ new premises in Doddington Road, Lincoln.
