Alex Keenan specialises in succession planning for rural clients.
His work includes inheritance and capital gains tax advice, tax planning advice on the sale or development of farmland, the preparation of wills, powers of attorney and lifetime trusts as well as advice on farming partnership agreements, succession planning for farming companies and dealing with large or complex probate cases involving negotiation with HMRC.
In addition to his advisory role, Alex is a nationally regarded public speaker on agricultural tax law, delivering training for a number of organisations including the Agricultural Law Association and Mercia Group on subjects such as SDLT, agricultural law and the use of trusts.
Alex is a Council member of the Agricultural Law Association and a qualified and practising Notary Public.
Away from the law Alex enjoys playing board games, growing vegetables and walking in the country with his two children.
