Claire joined Chattertons in October 2017 as a private client solicitor. She works in the Spalding office, her home town.
After obtaining a 2:1 law degree at the University of Birmingham she stayed in the city to complete her Legal Practice Course, which she passed with distinction. She returned to Spalding and started her training contract with a firm in Peterborough, qualifying as a solicitor in 2008. During her time there she gained a wealth of experience in various practice areas but specialised in family law until 2015, when she transferred to private client work.
Claire prepares wills, draws up lasting powers of attorney, prepares applications to the Court of Protection and administers estates when someone has died. She has completed the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) Certificate in Trusts and Estates and is keen to continue her training to become a fully qualified Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP).
Outside of work, Claire is something of a bibliophile with a particular love of Jane Austen.
