Qualifications: Law Degree (2009) University of Lincoln. LPC (2010) Nottingham Trent University. Kate qualified as a Solicitor in 2013 and was appointed a Partner in the firm in September 2017.
Kate is a Private Client solicitor with considerable experience in Will drafting, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection Work, Estate Administration and Inheritance Tax Planning. She has dealt with anything from modest estates to multi-million pound estates.
In addition to her work as a Solicitor, Kate is a trained Dementia Friends Champion. She has trained all of the Chattertons Staff to be Dementia Friends and rolls the training out to new starters as and when it is required. She has delivered the session to a number of Community Groups and enjoys delivering presentations on both Dementia Friends and her professional expertise.
Kate is married with a son and she enjoys spending time with her family.
Outside of work and family life, Kate is a Lieutenant in 4th Lincoln Girls’ Brigade, an organisation that she has been involved with since the age of 5. On a weekly basis she helps to run the section for 11-14 year olds. She is also the Commissioner of the Lincoln District Girls’ Brigade which involves her chairing District meetings and visiting the companies of the District to Commission new officers to the Brigade and present awards.
In 2007 Kate was awarded her Queen’s Award, which is the highest award that you can obtain in the Girls’ Brigade. She was the first person in the Lincoln District to have received this award in ten years and no-one has been awarded it from the Lincoln District since. As a result of the award she was invited to attend one of the Queen’s Garden Parties at Buckingham Palace.
