Mergers and Acquisitions, Business asset sales, Disposals, MBOs and MBIs, Group restructuring including demergers, share for share exchanges, share buybacks and share reclassifications, Private Equity, Joint venture arrangements, Banking and Finance including security arrangements, Shareholder Agreements, Incorporations and business start-ups.
Matthew trained at a leading City Law Firm and went on to hold positions in leading UK and US law firms. Matthew has therefore gained significant experience working on some of the largest merger and acquisition transactions, joint ventures and solvent and insolvent restructurings.
Matthew has also spent time out of private practice where he was the Head of Legal Services, leading a legal team for a private equity firm based in the City before returning to private practice in 2019. In this role Matthew would often be parachuted into the underlying acquisitions to provide full turnaround and business growth and development support where needed.
As such, as well as a sound legal background, Matthew has developed significant commercial experience and is therefore able to bring a truly pragmatic and problem-solving approach to the table.
