Qualifications: Monica graduated from Bucharest University (Law degree) in 1998 then the University of London, Queen Mary College (LLM in Banking and Financial Law) in 1999 before undertaking the Post Graduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Course at BPP Law School in London. She qualified as a Romanian lawyer in 2001 and as an English solicitor in 2005.
She is an ex-City lawyer with experience in corporate and financial transactions, commercial contracts and surety. She started her career as a foreign lawyer at the London offices of CMS Cameron McKenna where she then re-qualified as a solicitor in March 2005. She then went on to work in-house for large multinational corporations developing her legal knowledge, her understanding of the business environment and her ability to translate commercial needs into legal solutions before returning to private practice with a focus on corporate and commercial non-contentious work in 2016.
Monica advises on a variety of corporate and commercial matters including share and business assets sales and acquisitions, standard terms and conditions, services agreements, articles of associations, shareholder agreements, partnership agreements, construction agreements, charity law, corporate governance and GDPR compliance. Outside work interests include cycling, writing, music and enjoying spending time with her young family.
