Chattertons Charity of the Year 2023

  • Posted

We are delighted to announce that Chattertons Charity of the Year 2023 is Dementia UK – the specialist dementia nurse charity. Our target is to raise at least £10,000 to help support families impacted by dementia.

Each year, Chattertons Solicitors & Wealth Management, which has eight offices across Lincolnshire and in Newark, raise funds for a charity nominated and voted for by our staff. In the past we have supported various charities, including St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice, MIND, the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance and most recently our 2022 Charity of the Year was the Stroke Association.

Dementia UK Admiral Nurses provide life-changing care for families affected by all forms of dementia. Today, dementia is the leading cause of death in the UK. By 2025, more than one million people in the UK will be living with this condition.

There’s no cure for dementia. But there is care. Dementia UK’s Admiral Nurses are continually supported and developed by the charity to provide life-changing support for families affected by all forms of dementia. Their Nurses work in hospitals, GP practices and local community services to provide clinical, emotional and practical support that enables people to live more positively with dementia.

Katherine Bunting, Partner and Head of the Charity Committee at Chattertons said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Dementia UK this year in raising awareness and funds for a cause close to our hearts. All money raised will help Dementia UK provide more Admiral Nurses for families facing dementia.”

Amy McQueeney, Head of Philanthropy & Partnerships at Dementia UK, said,Millions of us will know someone living with dementia and many will be directly affected by it. Our Admiral Nurses are a lifeline for families impacted by dementia. With this support from Chattertons Solicitors and Wealth Management, we can continue to provide vital life-changing care for the families who need it the most.”
