Personal and Business Dispute Resolution Solicitor/Chartered Legal Executive (NQ - 3 years PQE) - Lincoln, UK

The Newly Qualified PBDR Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive will work closely with our PBDR team across a broad range of litigation matters. The successful candidate will handle a wide range of complex litigation work, including managing a mixed caseload of civil litigation matters, such as Commercial and Residential Landlord and Tenant, Consumer Law, Boundary Disputes, and Contentious Probate matters.

Salary: Dependent on Experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • To generate new work and provide an ongoing service to existing clients.
  • Develop and enhance the Personal and Business Dispute Resolution Department, maximising cross referrals across all offices and areas of the business.
  • To produce fee income in line with targets and agreed objectives.
  • To keep informed of all changes in the Law and Practice in own area of work
  • Maintain and enhance up to date legal skills.
  • Financial control with particular regard to cash flow control through collection of monies on account and billing procedures.
  • Maintaining accurate daily records of time spent on client and internal work.
  • Perform fee earning work accurately, reliably and in accordance with the firms’ quality and risk procedures.

Qualifications

Qualified Solicitor/Chartered Legal.

 Experience within Dispute Resolution.

 

Knowledge

Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel and high levels of computer literacy. 

Knowledge of case management systems.

Clear understanding of the Solicitors Accounts Rules and Money Laundering Regulations.

Previous experience of SOS.

Skills

Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.

A keen eye for detail and accuracy.

Structured and organised. 

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

 

Competencies

Able to work with diplomacy and maintain high levels of confidentiality. 

Desire to provide high quality service.
