Chattertons are listed 160th in the The Lawyer UK 200. The Lawyer 200 is a list of the top 200 law firms in the UK by revenue.

There are now just under 10,000 law firms in the UK so the list effectively contains the top 2% of law firms by size.

Agricultural Law Association

Membership of ALA is open to the advisory professions and to others with an interest in the subject. The ALA exists to promote the understanding and development of the law and practice in agriculture, environment, food and related issues and to provide a forum for professionals serving those sectors.

Jonathan Blythe, Head of Agriculture and Sarah Steel, Partner in our Private Client department are both members of the ALA.

Conveyancing Quality Accredited (Law Society of England & Wales)

The Law Society's Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) provides a recognised quality standard for residential conveyancing practices. Membership establishes a level of credibility for firms with stakeholders such as regulators, lenders and insurers as well as residential homebuyers and sellers.

The CQS is designed for practices that are authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) that offer residential conveyancing.

Practices applying for accreditation must demonstrate compliance with the CQS protocol and, where necessary, amend existing policies or draft new ones to meet the requirements.

Criminal Litigation Accredited (Law Society of England & Wales)

Whilst Chattertons does not provide criminal law services, we do hold the Criminal Litigation Accreditation from the Law Society to give credibility in the Regulatory Offences service we provide, often called 'white collar crime'

Where Directors have fallen foul of the law for whatever reason, we do have the ability to provide a regulatory defence service.

Family Law Accredited (Law Society of England & Wales)

Members of the Law Society's Family Law Accreditation scheme will have shown that they have and will maintain a high level of knowledge, skills, experience and practice in the area of family law.

Personal Injury Accredited (Law Society of England & Wales)

The Personal Injury Accreditation Scheme covers all work undertaken by solicitors and Fellows of the Institute of Legal Executives (FILEX) on behalf of victims and their dependants, or compensators, as to their rights and obligations arising out of any alleged act of negligence or breach of statutory duty as a result of which the victim has sustained personal injuries or fatal injuries.

The scheme covers all types of personal injury work and is open to those who act exclusively for claimants or defendants as well as those with a mixed practice.

LawNet Quality Standard ISO

Chattertons are pleased to announce that they have achieved the accreditation of LawNet Quality Standard ISO 9001.

The IASME Consortium

Chattertons have been accredited as an IASME Gold Certified company. This shows that our information security standards are of the highest order and demonstrates our commitment to information security for ourselves and our clients.

Cyber Essentials Plus

Chattertons is pleased to have been accredited as a ‘Cyber Essentials Plus’ business. The scheme was developed by Government and industry to provide a clear statement of the basic controls all organisations should implement to mitigate the risk from common internet based threats and through the assurance framework it offers a mechanism for organisations to demonstrate to clients that we have taken these essential precautions.
