Senior Legal Assistant - Lincoln, UK
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Legal Assistant to join our Document Production Team based in our Lincoln office.
We are seeking an individual who holds secretarial qualifications, a degree in Law, or has equivalent relevant professional experience. Full training will be provided, but a genuine interest in the legal profession is essential.
This role includes direct client contact, and the Senior Legal Assistant will be expected to handle initial client enquiries confidently and professionally. They will therefore need to ensure they remain up-to-date with the matters within their area(s) of responsibility.

Hours: 9am – 5.15pm Monday to Friday
Salary: £24,650
Key Responsibilities
- To perform all necessary typing/word-processing, accurately and to deadline.
- They will be expected to undertake work across all areas of the company and provide cover to other Senior Legal Assistants as directed by the Team Leader.
- Maintain high levels of client and company confidentiality.
- Transcribe information from manual documents or audio.
- Provide support to other offices where capacity allows as directed by the Team Leader.
- Take telephone calls on behalf of the fee earners and convey messages in a timely manner.
- To arrange appointments as required.
- To keep work up-to-date adopting the oldest/most urgent first principle.
- To ensure efficient information recorded on the appropriate file management system.
- Create and maintain accurate records.
- To be flexible and work as a team member.
- To provide Reception cover as and when required.
Candidate Profile
Essential Experience
- Secretarial qualification, Law Degree or equivalent work‑based experience.
- High level of competency in using Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Desirable Experience
- Experience of working in a law firm.
- Competent in using case management systems.
- Clear understanding of confidentially/Data Protection.
- Typing speed of at least 50 WPM.
