Chattertons Support Bandanas for Brain Tumours Day

  • Posted

Staff at local law firm, Chattertons Solicitors, took part in The Brain Tumour Charity’s annual Bandanas for Brain Tumours Day. Over 70 members of staff chose to buy an official bandana from the Charity, whilst others wore their own and donated anyway.

By getting involved the staff have helped the Charity to raise awareness of brain tumours and vital funds for research into early diagnosis. Over 800 people will be diagnosed with a brain tumour this March - that's 27 people every day. An early diagnosis could save lives and reduce long-term disabilities.

Katherine Bunting, Partner and Chair of the Firm’s Charity committee says “It was nice to see so many staff getting involved by purchasing the official bandanas or by simply wearing their own. This year we are proud to support The Brain Tumour Charity as our Charity of the Year for 2016 in memory of our dear colleague, Sophie Attfield, who passed away last September after being diagnosed with a brain tumour.”

The Firm has a number of fund raising events planned which include quiz nights, bowling events and bake-a-thons. Details of future events can be found on the Firm’s website www.chattertons.com.
