Sophie Attfield

Many of you will know already about the death of our colleague and friend, Sophie Attfield.  Sophie passed away on Sunday 27th September after a long illness.  

Sophie joined the Firm on 1 October 2005 as a specialist employment solicitor, bringing with her a wealth of experience and knowledge,  having worked for a number of years for one of the UK’s leading law firms.  Sophie was appointed a Partner in the Firm in May 2008 and during her time with Chattertons she worked in the Lincoln,  Newark and Horncastle offices. Sophie played a major part in the establishment of the LN6 business group and was also Education Liaison Office for the Lincolnshire Branch of the Institute of Directors.   

Sophie had a busy family and professional life, and yet was always happy to play an active part in contributing to the community as well as having time to listen and help her colleagues along the way.

Sophie will be very much missed by her colleagues and friends. Our thoughts and our sympathy are with Sophie’s husband Mike, her children Anna and Harry and her parents Terence and Wendy Capp.
