National Living Wage and National Minimum wage

The government announced the National Living Wage and National Minimum wage increases due to come into effect on 1 April 2020. The increases are as follows:

Age of employee	Old/Current rate (per hour)	New rate from April 2020 (per hour)
25 and over	£8.21	£8.72 .
21-24	£7.70	£8.20
18-20	£6.15	£6.45
16-17	£4.35	£4.55
Apprentice rate	£3.90	£4.15
