Our offices are open!

  • Posted

During the past few months, although our doors have had to remain closed, Chattertons have ensured that we are still able to offer a great service to our clients, even though we have not been able to offer a face to face service due to the Covid-19 restrictions. We are therefore now pleased to be able to open our doors to our clients once again!

In particular, when it comes to something as personal as writing your Will, we appreciate that some of our clients would prefer to meet face to face rather than provide their instructions over the telephone. In order for us to provide a full service, we require a lot of information from you about your financial situation, your family and your wishes which you may feel more comfortable providing face to face. We are therefore pleased to be able to welcome you back into the office to discuss your Will, or anything else which we can assist you with. We have implemented hygiene and safety measures at all of our offices to keep our staff and clients safe, so rest assured you can come into our offices and feel safe.

However, we do understand that although some people are getting used to the "new normal", for others coming into the office is still not an option. So although our offices are now open, we are still offering alternative means of taking your instructions via telephone or video call to all of our clients.

When it comes to the signing of your Will, the law is very strict regarding how a Will must be signed. We would normally meet with you to sign your Will to ensure that your Will has been validly executed. However, if we are unable to meet with you, we have additional measures and guidance to ensure that you can still make a Will without having to come into the office if you do not wish to do so.

If you would like to discuss making a Will, either in the office or remotely, please contact your local Chattertons Private Client Department for more information.
