Chattertons COTY - The First Ten Years!

  • Posted

Chattertons Solicitors and Wealth Management are celebrating 10 years of our Charity Committee's 'Charity of the Year'.

With offices in Lincolnshire and across the East Midlands, Chattertons staff nominate a charity each year to fundraise for. To date, charities such as St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice, the Alzheimer's Society, the RSPCA and MIND, have benefited to the tune of over £60,000.

Fundraising began in 2011 with one of our most memorable fundraisers when ICT Director, Liam Osborne, bungee jumped off the "James Bond" dam in Switzerland and raised over £1500 for the Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance. That was always going to be a hard act to follow but we've tried! In more recent years staff have taken on the Three Peaks Challenge, completed the Manchester Marathon, organised many quizzes and other events and smiled through the rain on numerous sponsored walks.

The one constant thing running through all these achievements is our staff's dedication and ongoing support from their family and friends, and from our clients and professional contacts… even COVID didn’t stop our fundraising efforts and commitment. At the back of everyone's mind and the thing that keeps us going, is knowing that the charities nominated by our staff really appreciate the support we give them.

Katherine Bunting, Partner and Head of the Charity Committee at Chattertons, said, “A huge thank you to everyone involved for their support and efforts over the last 10 years. It's an amazing achievement to raise over £60,000 for all our chosen charities, something we are really proud of.

We have selected our Charity of the Year 2022 and will announce in January. I'm looking forward to seeing what next year's fundraising events will be."

Thank you to everyone who has supported us in our fundraising. Stay up to date with our progress and see how you too can take part this year by following us on FacebookLinkedin or Twitter.
