Chattertons were honoured to again be a sponsor of Newark's Business Awards, which this year took place virtually on Friday, 11th December.

The awards are a testament to all our local businesses who consistently show dedication to their staff and customers, a real drive for efficiency and a desire to innovate and succeed. We were delighted to be the main sponsor of the Customer Care category, an area at the heart of our firm.

This has been a challenging year for all local businesses, despite all these difficulties, one particular aspect has remained an essential part of any business survival:  CUSTOMER CARE. In the bleakest of time, it is those businesses that have gone that extra mile and have been a beacon for their customers and clients. For it is those that buy our services and products that enable us to continue.

This has always been the case but this year particularly has shown us the importance of getting customer care right.

David Rogerson, Head of Dispute Resolution at Chattertons announced this year’s winners. He said:

“I have been overwhelmed by the sheer dedication that all the four finalist have shown to their own customers. They have each had to overcome significant and different challenges, most of which were as a result of matters beyond their control.

“I visited each finalist during the period between the two national lockdowns. I saw evidence of the sever impact the loss of business had had but also the determination to ensure that each business would survive. They each took steps to draw breathe and focus on what their customers wanted and needed and adapted their business accordingly.

“It is humbling to see the determination shown by all the finalists and I take my hat off to Simon, Steve, Amar and Keith. Truly an impressive bunch.”
