Throughout the year the Charity Committee and the staff at Chattertons have been helping to organise a number of fundraising activities including quizzes, bake-a-thons, a tombola, raffles, ten pin bowling, Christmas jumper day and much more. The Firm’s main event of the year was an F1 evening held in September which raised £7,250.00 for the charity. All of these fantastic events would not have been as successful without continued support from local businesses and individuals as well as the generosity and hard work of Chattertons staff.

Katherine Bunting, Partner at the Firm and Chair of the Charity Committee says “St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice provide a vital and free service that we at Chattertons are proud to support. This year’s Charity has also touched the hearts of the staff at Chattertons as our dear colleague Sophie Attfield was diagnosed with a tumour earlier in the year and has since passed away. Sophie was admitted to St Barnabas Hospice in Lincoln so we are pleased to have been supporting the Hospice in 2015.”

Veronica Brien, Head of Fundraising and Marketing at St Barnabas, says “The team should be so proud of all that they have achieved and we are delighted to have been part of this exciting year of fundraising. We are forever grateful for the support they have given us, not just the financial contribution but also the awareness they have raised amongst friends, family and their clients. Through this support, we are able to continue providing the care and support to the people of Lincolnshire and ensure that our patients and their families can make the most of every moment together, thank you.”

Chattertons are looking forward to another year of fundraising for their Charity of the Year 2016. Staff have chosen The Brain Tumour Charity in memory of their colleague Sophie. Full details of future events are available on their website www.chattertons.com
