Chattertons Fabulous Fundraising Fitness Fortnight

  • Posted

We are having a fitness fortnight for The Lincolnshire And Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance Charitable Trust

It has become somewhat of a tradition for Chattertons' employees, their friends and family to take part in an annual walk to raise money for our charity of the year.

Unfortunately COVID-19 continues to affect our plans for a firm-wide walk so we are teaming up to complete multiple individual or small group events instead.

During our fabulous fortnight of fundraising we will be walking, running, cycling and riding to clock up the miles. We will come together to record the total number of miles covered from 1st to 14th September.

It costs the air ambulance £20,000 a day to keep running so we would like to raise enough money to keep it going for at least a few hours.

Whilst the staff are dusting off their fitness gear it would be great if you could donate to this wonderful cause.

SAVING LIVES

The Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance is at the forefront of Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS) in the UK, attending an average of three potentially life-saving missions every single day, 365 days of the year.

As a Charity they rely purely on public donations. They receive no direct Government funding and are not part of the NHS. They provide the equivalent of an A&E department directly to the scene of some of the most serious and time critical 999 calls in Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire.

At a time when every second counts, the arrival of our iconic yellow helicopter really can mean the difference between life and death.

Any contribution will make a huge difference.
