Chattertons raise over £10,000 for The Stroke Association

  • Posted

Dedicated staff at Chattertons Solicitors and Wealth Management have raised over £10,000 to support the Stroke Association.

Chattertons, which has eight offices across Lincolnshire and in Newark, held a series of fundraising events over the past year for their chosen charity of the year for 2022 – the Stroke Association.

Margaret Chambers, based at Chattertons Boston office nominated the Stroke Association because of the stroke her husband David suffered in 2021. Margaret said, “I wanted to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you that have donated to the Stroke Association Charity Of The Year last year. As I am sure you are aware this charity is very close to my heart and the money raised will be vital for helping others like my husband Dave. Thank you all again for your support”

Katherine Bunting, Partner and Head of Chattertons Charity Committee, said, “Our fund raising events included sponsored walks, ten pin bowling, quizzes, bake sales, sweepstakes on Strictly Come Dancing and the World Cup, and many more. The total figure raised of £10,095.42, exceeds our target for the year and is a fantastic achievement.”

“We are now busy planning a calendar of fundraising events for Dementia UK, which was chosen as the 2023 Charity Of The Year following a staff vote. Our official launch day will take place on 17th January 2023.”

Lucy Burnip, Relationship Fundraiser for the Stroke Association said, “Thank you so much for all your support in 2022. Our hope is for there to be fewer strokes in the future. The money you have raised will fund ground-breaking stroke research projects to help take us closer to making this a reality, thank you.”
