Women in Construction Week Spotlight: Lorna Carter and the Leadership Shaping Chattertons' Construction Law Team

Women in Construction (WIC) Week, held annually during the first full week of March, celebrates the achievements of women in construction and engineering, highlights their contributions, and encourages greater representation in traditionally male-dominated sectors.

At Chattertons, the Construction team, led by Partner Lorna Carter, who has 30 years of specialist experience in construction law, and supported by Molly Cain, Paralegal, demonstrates strength, technical excellence and strategic leadership - the qualities WIC Week seeks to celebrate. The team are also excited to be welcoming a new member in May as it continues to grow and develop.

Construction and engineering have historically been male-dominated, particularly at senior and decision-making levels. Visible female leadership remains vital in driving cultural change, creating opportunity and inspiring the next generation of professionals.

Despite being a relatively new team, Chattertons’ Construction Law team has already been recognised as a “Firm to Watch” in the Legal 500. The team provides a professional and holistic service, advising on both contentious and non-contentious construction matters across the industry.
