Injury Awareness Week 2026: Supporting Your Right to Compensation

  • Posted

Injury Awareness Week (22–26 June) highlights an issue many people never consider until it affects them personally: the life‑changing impact of being injured through negligence. When someone is injured because another person or organisation failed in their duty of care, the consequences can be devastating. Injured people matter, and their rights must be protected.

If you have suffered an injury due to a mistake, negligence or a deliberate act, pursuing a personal injury or medical negligence claim can be essential in helping you deal with the physical, emotional and financial impact to begin rebuilding your life.

Specialist Personal Injury Solicitors at Chattertons

At Chattertons, our highly experienced Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence team, jointly led by Michael Pace and Ben Ellis, is committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for injured clients. We are proud that the team is recommended in The Legal 500, reflecting our strong reputation, technical expertise and client‑focused approach.

How much does a claim cost?

If you have been injured due to a mistake, negligence or deliberate action by another person or organisation, claiming compensation can be essential to allow you to deal with the consequences and rebuild your life.

We understand that the financial side of making a claim can feel daunting. The legal costs involved vary depending on the complexity of the case and other factors. However, we are able to represent the majority of our clients under Conditional Fee Agreements (commonly known as 'No Win, No Fee' agreements). This means you pay nothing up front or during the case and we will only charge you if your claim is successful. If you win, we guarantee that you will recover at least 75% of your compensation after all deductions for legal costs.

This approach ensures that accessing justice is as straightforward and risk‑free as possible.

We represent clients across the East Midlands and nationwide. We are flexible in how we handle your claim, and if you are unable to attend one of our offices, we will do our best to arrange a home visit or a telephone/video appointment.
