Trainee Independent Financial Adviser - Lincoln

The role:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Wealth Management Team as a Trainee Independent Financial Adviser dealing with investments and pensions in particular but also to provide equity release and protection advice. The successful candidate will have the drive and determination to qualify to Diploma level quickly (if not already qualified) and preferably a desire to achieve Chartered status. A passionate interest in financial services, excellent communication skills and high service standards are essential.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To work under supervision initially to gain experience of the role.
  • To qualify to Diploma level (if not already qualified) and go on to gain Chartered status.
  • To work with Partners and Fee Earners to develop new financial services business and build up a personal caseload.
  • To ensure work complies with the Firms policies, FCA regulations and best practice.

Hours of Work: Monday – Friday 09.00 – 17.15 (36.25 hours)  
Location: Lincoln
Salary: Dependent Upon Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications

Good grades at GCSE and A Level

Driving Licence (and transport as some travel will be required to other offices and to see clients)

Degree level education with a 2.1 or above and a relevant financial, economics or law degree would be an advantage

Diploma or part qualified financial services qualification

Knowledge

A passionate interest in financial services

 

 

 

 

A good understanding or demonstrable interest in Investments, Pensions, Protection and Equity Release

Experience of using Intelligent Office

Para-planning experience
