People are our greatest asset, but they can also be our greatest cost.
Employment law is a minefield but we can help you find your way through it. Our aim is to help you get the best out of your people, driving productivity and efficiency, and saving you money by helping you avoid expensive claims in the Employment Tribunals.
For small businesses we aim to be your HR department and for larger businesses we act as a sounding board for those responsible for HR matters.
We are happy to do any work on a “pay as you go” hourly rate basis (which is the traditional method for retaining solicitors) but we also offer alternative charging structures:
- Unlimited support for a fixed annual or monthly fee
- Insurance backed advice packages (please see our C3 employment protection insurance product for further information)
- A monthly payment contract for a defined number of hours (from one hour upwards) with unused hours which can be rolled-over to following months
As far as price is concerned, we adapt to your needs and budget. However, we are specialist employment solicitors. We know that other non-solicitors offer HR/employment packages but we are not competing with these companies. We don’t just tell you what you cannot do. We provide practical and commercial solutions to your employment problems so that you can manage your business.
Why choose us?
At Chattertons, we have one of the largest Employment law teams in Lincolnshire. Every member of our Employment team is a specialist within the field of Employment law and has a wealth of experience and expertise in dealing with Employment related matters. We take the time to get to know our clients and work closely with them. This ensures we are able to offer clients practical and commercially sensitive advice, which is tailor made to their needs. The team works with a variety of clients, from large national companies, to smaller businesses and other organisations such as charities and educational institutions. Our Employment Team is recognised in the Legal 500 for being "professional and pragmatic, and seeking to mitigate the financial and reputational risks" to our clients.
Unlike solicitors, communications with HR consultants and unqualified advisers offering HR advice/packages are not protected by ‘legal privilege’. This means that their advice must be disclosed in legal proceedings, however confidential in nature. Taking advice from our team will ensure that the confidentiality of the advice you receive is protected at all times, thus providing further protection for your business.
